keep the faith, baby

“The American people…understand the real gamble is having the same old folks doing things over and over and over again and somehow expecting a different result.”

"So with the inauguration less than 60 days away, will those same young people who trudged through the snow and cold to attend their first Iowa Caucus feel as fired up for President Obama after four years of a "Triangulating Bill" Clinton administration redux? Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, Larry Summers at Treasury, Rahm Emanuel and Eric Holder for Attorney general? This is change?"

"I'm just waiting to see if he changes some of these things. Tear up the Patriot Act. Stop sending billions for wars that are giveaways to war profiteers. Open up all the presidential papers. Investigate 9/11. Investigate the Hedge Funds. Prosecute Bush, Cheney, Rummsfeld and all the other Iraq war cheerleaders. Stop the war rhetoric. Stop giving 3 Billion a year to Israel so they can keep people in ghettos. Stop hate radio. Take care of the least among us. If he does these things he can appoint whoever hell he wants to."

"I wish someone would drive a stake through the heart of the DLC. It looks like they'll be running the show again and we will have a "center-right" government, just like the corporate press says we need for our "center-right" nation. The more things "change", the more they remain the same."

"Obama's NOT going to abandon the centrist philosophy and go left wing. And that's what's pissing us off. I'm glad I didn't give a dime to Obama's campaign."
